Fundraiser Guide


You have a passion: It could be for animal welfare, advocating for social justice, ending homelessness, supporting the arts, or raising awareness about mental illness. On Amplify Austin, March 4-5, 2021, you can put your passion to work by stepping up to spread the word and invite your family and friends to make a donation to the cause you are passionate about. As a fundraiser for your chosen nonprofit(s), you set the goal, get the word out, and become a champion for your cause.

New this year, we are excited to announce Amplify LIVE, a celebrity livestream produced by C3 Presents. This round-the-clock livestream, airing March 4-5 on the homepage of AmplifyATX.org will feature our nonprofit community, Central Texans who inspire generosity, celebrity guests, businesses, and media leaders as well as music performances filmed at Grammy Award-winning Adrian Quesada's Electric Deluxe Recorders Studio in East Austin. Austin luminary Charlie Sexton will serve as I Live Here I Give Here's inaugural Music Director and host a virtual collection of songs and stories of generosity from several local musicians including David Ramirez, Mélat, Alex Maas, Loulou Ghelichkani, and other special guests. Amplify Austin Day merchandise produced by C3 Presents will be available for purchase and Fundraising Champions who raise over $1,000 for their cause will win a free commemorative t-shirt from I Live Here I Give Here.

Generosity doesn’t stop on March 5th. AmplifyATX.org is a year-round site where you can sign up to fundraise for a cause you are passionate about, search for volunteer opportunities, or make donations any day of the year! Learn more about how to get involved year-round on the Get Involved page.

Fundraising is as Easy as...

Step One: Sign-Up to Fundraise

Amplify Austin Day officially kicks off at 6 pm on March 4th and ends at 6 pm on March 5th, but early giving is already underway on AmplifyATX.org! Any donation made on AmplifyATX.org between January 19th and March 5th at 6 pm will qualify for Amplify Austin Day prizes and incentives. There are two ways that you can make a positive impact as a fundraiser on Amplify Austin Day.

Fundraising Champions: Fundraising Champions are people like you who are passionate about a cause and want to make a difference in their communities. Fundraising Champions can create a personal fundraising profile for a nonprofit organization on AmplifyATX.org and share their page with their network to raise funds for the cause they care about.

To sign-up as a Fundraising Champion, search our catalog of causes to find the right nonprofit for you and click the "Fundraise" button on the nonprofit's profile. With over 650 participating organizations across seven Central Texas counties representing 19 cause categories, including racial equity, civil rights, civic engagement, the environment, animals, the arts, poverty, basic needs, education, and more, there are bountiful opportunities to promote a cause that is meaningful to you.

Free Agent Fundraiser: Free Agent Fundraising is a new tool available to Central Texans on AmplifyATX.org. Free Agent Fundraisers can create a fundraising profile to benefit more than one nonprofit on Amplify Austin Day. As a Free Agent Fundraiser, you can share your story and which organization(s) you will be supporting on Amplify Austin Day. Visitors to your page can then search the website and give to any cause that speaks to them. Donations made because of your invitation to give back will count towards your total raised as a fundraiser! This is a great fit for people who are passionate about several organizations and can't choose just one!

Sign-up as a Free Agent Fundraiser by clicking the "Sign-Up" button on the Fundraiser Search page. While you’re there, you can look around for Fundraisers you may know who are working to make Central Texas a better place to live, work, and play!

Step Two: Tell Your Story

Login to your Fundraiser Dashboard to customize your page with images, text, video, and your fundraising goal. This is your opportunity to share why you are passionate about your cause and why you decided to sign-up to fundraise on Amplify Austin Day. This is also a good time to take a moment and connect with the nonprofit(s) you are fundraising for to learn more about their campaign and how you can help them achieve their goals.

We also recommend that you plan how you will thank your donors when you receive donations. Saying thank you is the most important step in fundraising and a personal thank you note goes a long way to ensure that donors feel their contribution is valuable and impactful.

Step Three: Spread the Word

Now that your fundraiser is all set up, it’s time to spread the word! Share your story and your fundraiser page with your family and friends by email, social media, posts, or text message. Don’t forget to use our hashtag #ILiveHereIGiveHere on your social media posts to join the community-wide conversation. What Link Do I Share?

You'll want to share the link created for your fundraising page found in your Fundraising Toolkit.

You can also share the main campaign link, and your supporters will still be able to donate to your specific page!


How do I log into my profile?

After you've been invited as a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser, you should have received an email confirmation that was sent to the address that was invited. If you've been invited before, but haven't logged in, or if you've been invited for the first time, this support article will walk you through how to access your toolkit.

If you have been invited to fundraise before, and have logged into GiveGab before, then you can use the same login information as last time to regain access to your toolkit. If you aren't sure what your password is, you can reset it here.
