Put your passion to work by becoming a Fundraising Champion for Amplify Austin Day. Whether you fundraise for one nonprofit or many, we will provide you with tools, resources, and hands-on support to help you make your greatest impact on Central Texas.
Fundraising is as Easy as...
Step One: Sign-Up to Fundraise
Amplify Austin Day officially kicks off at 6 pm on March 4th and ends at 6 pm on March 5th, but early giving is already underway! Any donation made on AmplifyATX.org between January 28th and March 5th at 6 pm will qualify for Amplify Austin Day prizes and incentives.
There are two ways that you can make a positive impact as a fundraiser on Amplify Austin Day:
Option 1 - Fundraise for one organization: Show that you are passionate about a nonprofit’s work by creating a personal fundraising page for them on AmplifyATX.org.
To sign-up as a Fundraising Champion, search our catalog of causes to find the right nonprofit for you and click the "Fundraise" button on the nonprofit's profile. Complete the form and follow the steps to confirm your email. Log in to access your personal dashboard and customize your page. With over 750 participating organizations across seven Central Texas counties representing 19 cause categories, including racial equity, civil rights, civic engagement, the environment, animals, the arts, poverty, basic needs, education, and more, there are bountiful opportunities to promote a cause that is meaningful to you.
OPTION #2: Fundraise for a cause category: Visitors to your page can make a donation to support all nonprofits in a specific cause category. With 19 categories, this fundraising option is perfect for those who are especially passionate about a particular cause. Visit the Amplify Fund profile page and click on the cause category you want to support. Once you are on the cause category page, click the "Fundraise" button. Complete the form and follow the steps to confirm your email. Log in to access your personal dashboard and customize your page.
Step Two: Tell Your Story
Login to your Fundraiser Dashboard to customize your page with images, text, video, and your fundraising goal. This is your opportunity to share why you are passionate about your cause and why you decided to sign-up to fundraise.
Step Three: Spread the Word
Now that your fundraiser is all set up, it’s time to spread the word! Share your story and your fundraiser page with your family and friends by email, social media, posts, or text message. Don’t forget to use our hashtags #AmplifyAustinDay and #ILiveHereIGiveHere on your social media posts to join the community-wide conversation.
Take a look through our ready-to-share tools below. We also recommend checking in with the nonprofit(s) you are fundraising for to access any campaign-specific graphics, images, or videos that can help you spread the word.
Step Four: Thank Your Donors
Create a plan for how you will thank your donors when you receive donations. Saying thank you is the most important step in fundraising and a personal thank you note goes a long way to ensure that donors feel their contribution is valuable and impactful. You can send thank you emails from your dashboard, write a note, or give them a call.
